SELFIE?!

A selfie is a type of self-portrait photograph, typically taken with a hand-held digital camera or camera phone. Selfies are often associated with social networking.


Civilized - Someone who is cultured and polite,  polite and courteous and being socially and technologically advanced. 

Examples of civilized acts:

Knows how to properly use the dinning table.

Knows how to put proper things in proper places.

Knows how to use the bed and other sleeping materials properly.

Uncivilized - not polite, reasonable, or respectful, showing no concern for the well-being of people or for the proper way to behave toward people, not having the kinds of social systems, technologies, etc., that are seen in most modern societies

Sitting on a table?! Especially dinning table.

Just merely throwing things anywhere without proper placing/disposal.

Doesn't know how to sleep properly. (Head under pillow and disorder bed)

Third Blog: MMFF "MY LITTLE BOSSINGS" & INDIE FILM "Zombadings 1: Patayin Sa Shokot Si Remington"

Before Christmas break our professor told us to watch a MMFF entry of our choice and i picked this movie by Vic Sotto, Kris Aquino, Rizza Mae and James "BIMBY" Aquino because i like Ryzza so much and Vic Sotto.

This movie 'My Little Bossings (also known as Torky and My Little Bossings) is a 2013 Filipino comedy film directed by Marlon Rivera, starring Vic Sotto,Kris Aquino, Ryzza Mae Dizon, and James "Bimby" Aquino-Yap. The film is one of the 2013 Metro_Manila_Film_Festival entries that has been recently released in theaters nationwide last December 25, 2013 by OctoArts Films, M-Zet Productions, APT Entertainment, and Kris Aquino Productions.The film also marks Bimby Yap-Aquino's first theatrical debut.

Maybe there are many criticism about this film but I find it VERY ENTERTAINING, those kids to have this major role is not just easy. For me my ticket is not wasted on this film; my 235.25 pesos is worth it, it made me smile, laugh and more laugh, that is enough for me i dont care about those criticizers and those negative comments.


"A more positive review by Myra Grace Calulo of Philippine Entertainment Portal, however, said that the film is "a family flick that sprinkled with gags and a lot of heart", although she also noted the lack of character development and the story being "too drawn out at times"."

"Zombadings 1: Patayin Sa Shokot Si Remington"

This Indie Film I chose is just i find it funny so i pick this one. :) Mr. Escudero is not a gay type of actor so i am intrigued on how he will perform in this movie. It was a super fun movie. 
I also like the Story line, from at first he is a kid who always shouts BAKLA BAKLA BAKLA to every gays he saw and then because of it he got cursed by a gay(R. Paulate) to be someday when he grow up he will be a gay also. And then the story begins :)))


PLOT
Remington is in love with Hannah but she finds him lazy and uncouth. Then he starts to change. Suddenly he is becoming neater, nicer, more sensitive. Is he doing it for her? Or is something beyond his control changing him into someone he is not? He discovers that his gradual transformation is tied to something he did long ago, to childhood transgressions and curses uttered in graveyards. Hannah falls for the new and improved Remington, but he starts falling for someone else. As the ghosts of Remington's past come to haunt him, so do the the Zombadings. Undead, fabulous, they threaten to rock this sleepy town to death.

Plot

 Torky (Vic Sotto) is a bookkeeper working for Baba (Kris Aquino) a millionaire cash management specialist. Because of some conflict in her business that puts her life in danger, Baba entrusts the safety of her son Justin (Bimby Aquino-Yap) to Torky who takes him home to meet his daughter Ice (Aiza Seguerra) and Ching (Ryzza Mae Dizon) the street urchin that the latter took under her wing. Given that Justin is not particularly fond of Torky, how all four of them would get along under one roof becomes the focus of the story.

I chose this title BLAZE because blaze for he is like on fire or as what we called getting good. This picture shows that I am happy and as well as the Thumbs up gesture saying that i am Good and the gesture holding at my name meaning ME. altogether "I AM GOOD or DOING GOOD".

First Blog Entry: Essay 2 - TMW: Oink Oink to Office by Don Salubayba

Last December 12, 2013, we went to Pamanang Bedista as instructed by our professor to look or search or find some artwork that will give us a struck or something meaningful. As I walked through the room, there I found this painting called TMW: Oink Oink to Office by Don Salubayba.

The Painting for me at my first glance gives me a meaning already even though it looks like unfinished to me the expression or the painter's message went through me very well.

First the title, I dont know why did he put TMW and the meaning of it. but i think it means "TiMaWa", as far as I think :P 

Second the Pig that is personalized as a human being going to work. for me the painter is telling us that the BIG MEN or the Wealthy persons are the most dirty people, the painting looks very dirty as what PIGS are.

Third, at our current status, the PORK BARREL ISSUE really relates to this painting very well even though he painted it 4 years ago, I think that this painter really thought that those BIG MEN now are the DIRTY PIGS who gives suffering to SMALL PEOPLE or the poor beings.

First Blog Entry: Essay 1 Tower of Babel by Pieter Bruegel the Elder.

While i was browsing this site (http://www.google.com/culturalinstitute/project/art-project) many photos caught my attention, but this one really gave me a meaning. this photo was named Tower of Babel by Pieter Bruegel the Elder.

As a student from a christian school, this painting impressed me by the painter. By making an imagination of this tower and painted it to the canvas without even looking at the real one (no real one). 

This is what I called art, by mere imagination and readings from a passage he made this painting and expressed to us that his painting is real or even existing.
